Outcomes

The major goal of this course is to help students acquire the knowledge, skill, and experience necessary to create flat patterns. Upon completion of this course, you should be able to do the following:

  1. Demonstrate flat pattern skills.
  2. Understand flat pattern principles and rules.
  3. Use correct terminology in relationship to flat pattern work.
  4. Derive solutions to problems in pattern making.
  5. Build confidence in your ability to construct apparel using patterns you have drafted.
  6. Accurately measure a figure.
