Stacey Sansom

Introduction

Every designer needs a portfolio to show their work and this is an attempt to compile it all into one place.

I have to confess that I have been a bit lax about keeping up with my personal and professional projects over the years, but that hopefully changes here. Today it is just a start, but it is intended to document my skills, work, and experiences as a professional and student alike.

You can scroll to the end of the page to see my career goals, résumé, and business.

Who Am I?

I am Stacey Sansom.

I am a wife and mother. My husband, Ben, and I met when I was 15 years old. I am one of the few that can say that I “married my high school sweetheart.” It was not a guaranteed back then, but after years apart we found each other and reconnected. That’s history. We were married in December 1998. Together we are raising three boys, two of which we have managed to get to adulthood and one of those two has already married.

My Education

I completed my Associate of Art degree in Liberal Arts at Lonestar College in 2008. I was a member of the Alpha Alpha Rho chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I served as VP of Scholarship and President of the chapter.

I completed my Pathway Connect Certificate from BYU-Pathway Worldwide in July 2019 which provided me with discounted tuition to further my education.

I am currently a student at Brigham Young University – Idaho where I am trying to finish my Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies. In this process, I will complete certificates in Basic Accounting, Social Media Marketing, Entreprenuership, and Apparel Design and Construction. The apparel certificate is not an official online certificate, but I have been taking the classes as they become available to online students.

My Professional Background

From a professional standpoint, I am the owner and operator of Stacey Sansom Designs, a small sewing services provider located in Little Elm, Texas. A city that everyone always gives me the side look because they have never heard of this beautiful North Texas town located approximately 40 miles north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. You can read more about my professional background on the business website.

In September 2021, I pushlished my first book with a list of many more to be created in the future. There are only so many hours in the day, so they will come to fruition someday. It was a great opportunity to use some of my many years of graphic design experience while creating the hand-doodled menu planner. You can purchase this book and any future books on Amazon.

The Creative Side of Things

It is important to note that while I have extensive background in the web and graphic design industries, I have always sought after things where I could unleash my creativity. I have been truly blessed with a deep desire for continuous learning and the absence of fear when trying new creative venues.
