Yes, I am awake. I’ve been awake since before 6am. I would rather go back to sleep, but alas I am awake and not able to sleep anymore. The allergies are flared up. Ick! Kyle is off to school. Lance is awake. I will run Andrew to school early in a few minutes for his Rubik’s Cube Club Meeting.
I was up late last night. I finished knitting the front of the baby sweater. It was as I was getting close to the end of it that I realized that in my rush to finish the back years ago so I could have the knitting needles for something else, I totally screwed up. I was ready to go to bed…maybe, yeah, maybe I was ready to go to bed…then I got this crazy notion to “frog” part of the back to fix the problem. Not a bad idea mind you as I’d fix the mistakes and it would look like it should. I found out how difficult it is to pick up a row of stitches in the “seed stitch” pattern. *gasp* Let’s just say that it was almost 3am before I got the correct number of stitches on the needle and ripped all the way to the needle. I can’t tell you how long it took me to pick up all those stitches. I don’t know. I’m being honest here. I didn’t watch the clock. I just know it took several attempts to get it right.
So there you have the amount of sleep I got last night – enough to not be tired but not enough to not be raring and ready to go.
It is cold here this morning. We woke up to 36˚F temperatures. Both of my computer desktop weather widgets are saying that it is 35˚F outside right now. I did not turn on the heaters last night. The high temperature for today is sub-70˚F. It is going to be a beautiful day today.
Off to run a child to where he needs to be.
