I would say that the first day of Cub Scout Day Camp was a success from the sheer fact that I survived. I was exhausted when I got home, but I made it through the day. Another mark of success is that we came home with as many boys as we left with. We did not lose any. That is a good sign, right? We did not pick up any strays either. That is another good sign, right?
I have to say that it was not as bad as I thought it would be. After the weeks leading up to it and the planning and organizing that I had put into it, I was near a panic attack when I went to bed on Monday night and ultimately woke up Tuesday morning. However, this morning I am feeling much better about the whole thing. Maybe getting past the first day hump helped.
Of course this morning I have a nasty rebound migraine to start the day off. That is not so cool.
