This morning, I took Kyle to school. It was the compromise that we made upon bringing home Bob III. See I am not a mean mommy after all. At least not that mean. Kyle did say, “I am not going to be able to ride my bike with that, my backpack, and my lunch box.” I heard him. This morning I took pity on him. It is only 1/4 mile from our front door to the school’s front door as the crow flies (more or less) if he were to walk.
Needless to say, Bob III resides in a small suitcase. I have teased Kyle about his small suitcase every time I see him carrying it around since we brought it home. Maybe I am a mean mommy after all. Only part mean? I am not joking though, Bob III’s case is the size of two small pilot’s suitcases put together end to end. It is seriously huge. Maybe not as wide, but lengthwise, pretty darn close.
Anyway…enough about the case…or maybe not…as we went to get in the car…
Kyle put Bob between his knees as he always does and then proceeded to close the door…on his knee. Bob III is a bit bigger and well wider than Bob II and he managed to crush his knee between the door and the case.
It was quite funny. I did laugh. I admit it. I laughed enough to take a picture of Kyle laughing.
All in good fun…Kyle did get Bob III and his knees to fit in the front seat with the door closed. I don’t know, it looks a little tight to me. What do you think? My guess is that he will not close the door on his knee again in the process.
