I’ve never sewn pinwheels before

I have never sewn pinwheels before. I have a lot of odd shaped scraps left over from making the circles from the Cathedral Window table runner and I really hate to throw all that fabric away. It really is a waste. Besides, it is free fabric and I could turn it into something to sell.

I found that I could make two different size triangles out of the scraps that I had left over from the Cathedral Window table runner project. That has a lot of possibilities.

Of course it means a lot of sewing together or points and getting it accurate. You can be a little less accurate with squares and rectangles.

You can still chain them together, however.

I had a lot of triangles from all those scraps….

I worked at putting the two colors together until I found a system/method that worked to speed up my process.

Once I had my triangles sewn together, I ended up with squares. Now this is easy stuff from here, right? I found out that matching those angled corners was not as easy as it looked.

After a little bit of work, I ended up with a lot of “pinwheel” squares. Now, what to do with them all?
