It has been a long time coming

It has been a long time coming, but I am finally graduating with a degree! I have been about the college scene since Fall 1994, so that’s almost 14 years. I will be graduating as a summer graduate with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts on May 10, 2008 from Lone Star College-Tomball.

Now don’t go getting all excited, I will be returning to school this Fall. I am only graduating on paper. Of course after my trip to Philadelphia in April the approach to my Fall classes will be a bit different. I need the time to get my portfolio built up for the Savannah College of Art and Design. Without the portfolio I am not eligible for scholarships. If SCAD is going to stay a possibility, then I am going to need the scholarships. I plan on taking some of the basics required by SCAD for their graphic design program that I can easily take through the LSCS.

So I will be around for another year. The faculty advisers over Phi Theta Kappa at Lone Star College-North Harris are breathing easy now! They get to keep me as an officer for another year. I am officially the 2008-2009 VP of Scholarship. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with all those who make up the new officer team.

Just a note on the picture in the above announcement, it was taken by my budding photographer, Lance! I was transferring pictures from the computer to the laptop. He wanted to take a picture. I thought the worst would be that I’d have to delete a lot of pictures. WOW! I am way impressed by his 3.5 year old ability. So this is a special picture to me.
