It must have been good

Let me preface this by saying that Ben does NOT like anything with cream sauces.

So I bought these Macaroni Grill dinner mix/kits a couple of weeks ago. They were on sale for a really good price with coupons. Everything is included except the perishables. I got them for about $1.50 each.

We were out shopping Tuesday evening because Kyle didn’t make it to cub scouts (he couldn’t get his homework done in time) and Andrew didn’t have scouts. Ben broke his office chair some more that it already was, so we went “looking.” I had some chicken tenders in the fridge from my grocery trip on Monday night. I figured I’d just make one of the mixes with the chicken tenders. I had about double the chicken amount than they called for, but I just threw them all in because I was too tired/lazy to deal with the others.

I let Ben pick which flavor he wanted of the mixes as he’s not a “cream sauce” fan. He picked the Alfredo flavor. Surprise, surprise. I cooked up some steamed broccoli to go with it. I did add a little bit of fresh ground garlic pepper to the sauce for flavor. I threw in the Parmesan cheese sprinkle into the mix as Ben also does not like Parmesan cheese, so I mixed it in so he wouldn’t know. If he doesn’t know, he doesn’t complain and often likes it just fine.

The only one that didn’t like it was Kyle. I am not sure why as he usually likes cream sauces and we don’t have them often because Ben doesn’t like them. We will often eat them when he’s out of town.

Ben, however, said it was “not bad.” That’s huge.

So I am out at Discount Tire Company on Wednesday afternoon getting my tires checked as I have this flicking sound like a card stuck in bicycle spokes. Ended up it was a nice size strip of metal wedged into the side of my tired and it was hitting every time it hit the road…

I come home thinking that I am going to have the left overs…

I fix Lance his sandwich. I open the fridge to get the container and its gone. I look on the stove and there it was. Ben ate it!!! image I was so ready to have it. It was really good. Nice rich flavor. Ben, cream sauce non-liking dear husband, ate it.

All I can say is, it must have been good!

I’m buying that again!!!
