Welcome to the new updated template on my blog. There was a lot of nonsense going around in the blogosphere about changes that were happening. After reading about a bunch of it, I decided that it was time to just bite the bullet so to speak and update the template I was using. It was better than the alternative in the long run.
So it is confession time. The template that I was using was custom made from ions ago. Okay so it was not 100% custom made. It was actually an old Plane Jane template from ages ago that I stripped apart and made “custom.” It was my first step into the world of “Blogger” designs. I had not changed it much since then. I never felt the need. The purpose of the blog was primarily about “the family” and mostly about “the boys” so I just left it.
It was a cover on the story. The story hadn’t change, why change the cover?
Of course, I have used it for a lot of things over the years. The sub-purpose is ALWAYS there and has never changed. I have just used it for the jumping point for a variety of things. I am truly grateful to have it as a sounding board, a jumping board, a venting post. It is my outlet for all things.
So I decided that instead of spending time trying to update my “outlet” for purposes that are so universal, it was best to just find a template that I could live with. It was best to find something that I could work with and worry about the “details” of all the changes later. I could make it pretty and worry about fine tuning it all later. I just didn’t want to lose the outlet for now. Preservation over presentation at this point is what is most important to me.
Besides, looking at the template that I had been using…it was for my kids. My kids have all grown out of that. So this should suit them better as it is not those bold in your face little boy colors. Eventually, you will see the “little boy” header go away too. I am just not sure to what…
