The gas prices started falling 3-4 months ago. I did not hang onto much hope that they would stay too low for too long. I took note when I could fill my minivan’s gas tank up for just under $40. Previously, it was pushing closer to $70 per tank.
Today, I would like to say that I filled my tank for under $32. That was not even the cheapest gas around. I will confess to not even trying to find the cheapest gas, I went to the Texaco gas station at the back of our neighborhood because I needed gas and I needed to pick up Lance from school. I could kill 2 birds with one stone.
It would have been even cheaper if I had paid cash or had a Texaco gift card, but I had neither so I was content to pay my $1.89 per gallon today.
It is hard to believe that not too long ago we were paying $3.89 per gallon.
I know there are arguments for both sides of the gas prices, but I will say that I for one am liking the lower gas prices because it does allow a little more wiggle room for other things.
The question of course is how long will this last?
