We are ready for a second day of Cub Scout Day Camp. Even after yesterday’s less than stellar ending with a migraine, Lance was ready to go have a lot of fun again today.
Fortunately, his hat was mostly washable. The brim is a bit more flimsy after a couple of rounds in the washer trying to clean it from yesterday’s stomach contents, but it looks no worse for wear.
Lance cleaning the over spray of sun screen and bug spray off his glasses. There was a little bit of wind blowing today and the spray went places we did not want it. Fortunately, with a Zeiss Lens Wipe it comes right off.
Now he was ready for his picture to be taken!!!
He had an okay day today. He did get another headache today, but I looked at the time and called to see where my friend Robyn Felt was at. That was about the time she would be getting out of school and heading home. She was at Spring Cypress and Kuykendahl. The camp location is at 2920 and Kuykendahl. I asked if she would swing up and take him a Coke from one of the fast food places across the street. She was more than happy to do that for me as she was just a few blocks from him where as it would take me nearly 20 minutes to get to him. He had already been given Advil for the pain, he just needed something to kick it over the edge so that he could hopefully return to the rest of the group and finish his day at camp.
Fortunately, we got to his headache fast enough and he was able to return to camp activities.
He even went on to earn himself…
A star and 2 Bull’s Eyes on his t-shirt on the BB Gun Range! That is a big deal. Last year I do not think that he could even hit the target. I will have to go find his targets from last year and compare to be real honest with you. This year, he got 2 bull’s eyes on the first day they did BB Guns! Way to shoot, Lance!
