When I came back out about an hour later, this is what I saw…
Not only was it a little disconcerting, I was not entirely sure whether or not it was safe for me to get in my car or go back into the dentist’s office. I mean, there was crime scene tape stretched across the parking lot and several sheriff’s cars with their lights flashing. It was clearly a crime scene.
It took me a couple of minutes to assess the scene. It was around the Amegy Bank. Fortunately, I could get to my car and get my car out of the parking lot so I did not hang around.
Later, I did find out that it was in fact a bank robbery. Not only was it a bank robbery but the suspects took off on a chase up the road a ways.
The best part about all of this? We were completely oblivious to this in the dentist office.
