Today was Kyle’s 14th birthday…
I would like to say that there was lots of pomp and circumstance making a big deal about it, but alas, there was not. Kyle was sick today…
I did, however, make him the cake he wanted for his birthday and the dinner that he wanted. He wanted a yellow cake with white cream cheese icing. I made that. He wanted cookies and cream ice cream. I bought it. For dinner he wanted homemade pizza. I made that.
He just did not feel good. So we did not make a huge deal out of his birthday because he was not going to enjoy it much anyway. He spent most of the week home in bed or on the computer playing video games instead of at school. I think that is not too bad of a trade off, right?
