Wimpy technology?

I was driving back from picking up a few groceries at Wal-Mart and I looked down at the thermometer reading on my dash. It read 98 degrees. That’s pretty hot. That is not unusual for the end of July in Texas, however.

For giggles and grins, I decided to find out what the real temperature was for my location. I pulled out my iPhone and asked Siri, “Siri, what is the temperature for my current location?”
She was more than happy to respond…

“It is about 93 degrees outside. Hot!”
Now in July in Texas, 93 degrees is not all that hot – relatively speaking. My first thought is that the programmers at Apple were trying to have a sense of humor. My second thought is that the people in Cuppertino, California must be pretty wimpy if at this time of year they are thinking that 93 degrees is hot. Here we consider this a cold front – relatively speaking.
Needless to say, it is a little warm out there today.
