Ben and Andrew returned from scout camp this afternoon. I guess it was about lunch time. I showered and got ready to head to the spa with Nicole for some relaxation time. Much needed relaxation time. I had the gift certificate Ben gave me for our 10th anniversary last December to use up. This included a 55 minute Swedish massage, a spa manicure, and pedicure.
Nicole picked me up and we ran to the mall really quick so that she could exchange a shirt she had ordered online and pick up a pair of shorts she had thought she ordered but hadn’t. Then we’re off to the Elan Day Spa.
I can say that the massage was nice. It wasn’t super great, but after a week of 6 extra kids (before you were ready for them) it wasn’t bad. Laying there, I was wishing that there was some chiropractic work involved as well. I did feel better afterward. Now I have to say that I am a bit disappointed in the manicure and pedicure. They were nice, but for the price I would have expected way more. Fortunately, I was gifted them so I don’t have too much to complain about.
Afterward we stopped at Wal-mart so that I could get something for dinner that night – frozen pizzas. I also grabbed my newspapers.
Now the laundry starts…lots and lots of laundry…stinky, dirty, icky, scout camp laundry for 2 people. Ick! So much for that spa treatment.
