I have to say that one of the boring tasks in my life is cutting and sorting coupons. I’ve tried multiple methods and it always leaves me with frustration. I’ve tried perfecting the box method, the bag method, the cut as I need them method, etc. I have gone back to the notebook method as of today. I wasn’t complaining as much when I had my notebook all ready to go on Monday when I made my grocery list. All I had to do was go through the notebook and pull out all the coupons I needed from their various categorical sections. It worked. It was definitely less time consuming on the day of shopping even if it was more time consuming on the day I sat to cut and sort coupons. I don’t know why I just can’t stick with it. So today I started cutting. I’m maybe a third of the way through the pile of coupon inserts. UGH! I will over come this. I will over come this.
I started out with the notebook method but after Crhistmas I switched to the cut as I need method. I still use my notebook too for coupon sorting and for storing coupons I know I will use, but it is a lot thinner now. Have fun.
Yeah, I just don’t think that there is any ONE perfect way to do it. I hate to think that sometimes when I run out to get something, I probably do have coupons…I am just not going to spend the time looking for them. At least with the notebook I can quickly look in the category for those items and be assured that I have them or not. I think it worked best for “me.” We’ll see if I can keep it up again.
