Today I attended with my mother and my sister and friends the annual Quilting Bee. It is a great service project. It was just amazing to see all those quilts draped over the pews in the chapel. Lots and lots of quilts. Some 240 quilts and they were still counting. Quilts were in a variety of sizes ranging from crib sized all the way up to king sized. These quilts will go to those who need them in our community either through the Interfaith Hospitality Network or via NAM (Northwest Assistance Ministries). It had a great turn out and lots of quilts.
Now we get started on the quilts for next year’s quilting bee.
