Naps are not always your best friend

I am not a nap person. I don’t think I ever have been. Typically if I nap, I wake up groggy and feeling worse than when I fell asleep. I don’t typically take naps unless my body literally just shuts down and forces the issue. Today was one of those days. I woke up and relocated to the recliner this morning. Fell back asleep. Got to church and shortly started to doze off. Got home and again shortly fell asleep. ๐Ÿ™ I got home about 5pm. I wake up about 7:30pm. So here it is 10:30pm and I am unable to sleep. Go figure! So I am looking at a long night ahead of me and not one with sleep.

I have been busy working on my knitting and I am pleased to announced that I am almost finished! Woohoo! I think I have about 6 more rows to do. I am so excited. This has been a fun learning experience for me. It is turning out nicely. Not perfect by any means, but it is definitely gift worthy. I can’t wait to start the next project. If I keep this up and my speed increases considerably, I could knit real things for real people by year end. I have to say that having a knitting machine is starting to look a bit more enticing. I at least know that I could definitely do the hand detailed work on a machine knit body of a sweater or something. I might just get it finished tonight if I get bored as seeing I am wide awake and not likely to fall asleep any time soon.

In the meantime, I’ll sit here listening to the dripping in the kitchen sink.
